The Canton of Thurgau supports cultural and charitable projects on a subsidiary basis. This means that personal contributions as well as contributions from private individuals (sponsors, foundations, benefactors) and municipalities are required for the financing of projects. In principle, events and projects that are not public, profitable and profit-oriented projects or events as well as projects in the context of training and further education are not supported (independent film projects are excluded). The cultural office of the canton of Thurgau processes applications to the lottery fund for cultural, scientific and charitable projects that are related to the canton and of supraregional importance.
